Yay, we’re back to blogging weddings! So excited to be back in the swing of things as wedding season is underway. We have a lot of sessions coming up so this blog is about to get busy! It felt really good to have our cameras back in our hands and working with a bride and groom…oh, and sneaking a piece of wedding cake at the end of the night is a much appreciated perk of the job.
I can’t wait to share more of these wedding photos from this past weekend in the next couple of weeks. Kathleen seriously knows how to work it in front of the camera, she’s my kind of girl!

We are those people. You know, the ones who treat their dog like she’s a real child. We come home every night and Kali greets us with her favorite giraffe, whimpers with joy that we have arrived and spins in circles between the two of us; not being able to decide which one she wants more love from.
Yesterday I was feeling slightly overwhelmed by an ever growing task list. I was stressed for the majority of the day until I came home to a dog that buried her head into my knees to get her daily hugs and snuggles from me. She’s always having a good day when we’re around her. That’s why I love her; she feels complete when we’re both with her…and when we’re rubbing her belly while taking up 3/4 of our king sized bed helps as well.
She appreciates the small moments of getting love and snuggling on the couch. I need to get back to that. Working full time, having a growing business and planning a wedding has gotten Pat and I off track of taking time to just be together. I’m so excited about where things are headed for us and appreciate it more than anything in the world. It’s nice to see hard work really does pay off. We just need to stop living our lives by a list and get back to enjoying more quality time with our small family which includes the two of us and a giant, furry dog. They are after all, what makes me the happiest fiancé and doggy mama there ever was.

It’s Video Monday! Yeah, I just made that up on the spot. Creative huh? In this one I’m talking about why we think every couple, if possible, should do an engagement session. I flubbed in the beginning of the video and said this was about the importance of an engagement location but you guys know what I mean!
Warning: I think I’m hilarious. I tell people I’m the funniest person I know and everyone just shakes their head in disbelief that I’m that delusional. I literally laugh at myself like this all day every day….no joke. Pat even added in some “bloopers” at the very end. If you don’t want to be friends with me after this anymore, I understand.
